I made this image of the Chicago River and the city's skyline on my last day of my photography trip to Chicago. After five days of continually shooting this is the culmination of that arduous task. Yes, it was both gratifying and satisfying, but I was ready to go back home to my family! The problem with being a photographer in latitudes above the 40th parallel is that twilight is at 4:00 AM in the morning and 9:45 PM at night...I mention this since at that time is when the most beautiful images can be produced. Of course there are exceptions to that rule, such as when it is cloudy and foggy (like on this image), but that kind of mood lends itself to a great monochrome conversion! Thanks for looking. FAA watermark WILL NOT show on final printed image.
