Ever since we got our rental property in the north shore of Canyon Lake, (back in Feb. 2017), I've been meaning to photograph the Guadalupe River. Week after week we'd go back and forth between Houston and the Texas Hill Country and for one reason or other, I wouldn't be able to. Finally, all the variables lined up and I was ready to go down to the river. My wife and I discovered a Nature Trail on the right side of the Spillway that leads down to the raging waters. I asked my wife to help me find a good spot for a photo op, to what she replied "I don't know about those things", and I said, "Trust me, you'll know when you see it." And here it is: this handsome lonesome bald cypress appeared to her and she knew. Even the foreground interest of boulders was perfect to complete the composition! Thanks for looking.
