This is the culmination of a 1.4 mile hike from the Gorman Falls trailhead down to the Colorado River, at Colorado Bend State Park. The hike takes you through typical Texas Hill Country scrubland, with plenty of prickly pear, yucca, and oak stands surrounding you at all times. It gets more interesting as one makes his/her approach towards the drainage canyons leading down to the Colorado River. The narrow canyon walls and the constant flow of water create a microclimate where ferns and moses thrive on the travertine walls, delighting the viewers.
