Artist's Description
This is the McAlpin Hotel on Ocean Drive in South Beach, part of the Miami Beach Architectural District. I rose early, in the pre-dawn hours, to capture the magnificent light on the art deco buildings. I was hoping to get the crazy psychedelic colors of the neon lights together with passing car light trails, (mostly taxicabs picking up patrons from hotels and bars)...
Truly South Beach is an architecture buff's paradise. The Art Deco buildings are an iconic part of the city and the whole neighborhood is a registered historical landmark!
