Description
On our 5-day stay in Albuquerque, New Mexico, my family and I planned to take daily trips to destinations in a 3-hour radius of our hotel. The first of these trips was a visit to Tent Rocks, also known as Kasha-Katuwe National Monument, located on the eastern side of the Jemez Mountains, to the west of Santa Fe and the Rio Grande. This area is managed by Pueblo de Cochiti, one of the nineteen Pueblos of New Mexico. While driving to the monument, we got hungry, and not knowing where to eat, we spotted a sign by the side of the road that led us to the Cochiti Lake Golf Club's own restaurant, the Stone Kiva. After we had a great meal we made our way to Tent Rocks, but as we approached the visitor center, a nice ranger turned us around, saying that they were ready to close, since they were still operating under the winter hours! Frustrated by not being able to photograph the towering tent rocks, I remembered this beautiful vista as we were leaving the golf club, and decided to come back to made this 4-image panorama. Hope you like it! Thanks for looking. FAA watermark WILL NOT show up on final printed image.
