This image was captured on my way back to Houston from Dallas, early, (not so early, the golden light is gone), on a Tuesday morning. Having woken up to a cloudy start of the day, I headed Downtown to do some long exposures at Blue Hour time. Then the clouds rolled in and the light became dull. As I was trying to find my way to the freeways to return home, the clouds disappeared when I was driving on Young Street by City Hall. "Marvelous!" I though to myself, to which I found a parking space and decided to reshoot this scene without rain and in sunny conditions. To make it more interesting, I screwed on a 10-stop neutral density filter, which caused the exposure to be 8 seconds long. Please observe the clouds, flags, and blurred water for this effect. It definitely adds a great deal of interest to any scene. Thanks for looking. FAA watermark WILL NOT show on fine art print.
