After an hour of hiking at Enchanted Rock, we found ourselves in the northeastern quadrant of the park, on the Loop Trail that circles all the granite formations. The sun was approaching the horizon, and the sweet golden light was hitting the newly sprouted leaves of early Spring and the granite face of Freshman Mountain. Behind us we left Turkey Peak and the loop trail would take us behind Enchanted Rock. The air was rife with the scent of cedar, making it for an exhilarating hike. Thanks for looking.
