Description
This breathtaking panorama was shot a few minutes north of my hotel in Estes Park, Colorado. Not know what to photograph that particular morning, I rose early in the predawn hours and peaked through the window. Just by looking at the dark sky and its clouds, I knew it was going to be an epic sunrise! Grabbing my car I started wandering aimlessly through the north side of Estes Park until I got to McGregor Road, aka Highway 43. The sky started to get on fire, so I had to pulled over on the shoulder and snapped this 1:4 panorama. You can see Long's Peak, the Continental Divide, Deer and McGregor Mountain and the formation called "Lumpy Ridge" to the right, part of Rocky Mountains National Park. Thanks for looking. FAA watermark WILL NOT show on final printed image.
