This is a panoramic image I made of the newly built McLane Stadium on the north shore of the Brazos River, in Waco, Texas. I was standing on the south side near the Hike and Bike trail while I waited for the perfect light to fire off six overlapping portrait photographs to stitch them later in post-processing. Right before I made the photographs, the light in the sky changed beautifully, and the "pillowy" clouds gently caressed the top part of the stadium.
McLane Stadium is an American football stadium in Waco, Texas. It is owned and operated by Baylor University. Originally named "Baylor Stadium", the name was changed to McLane Stadium in December 2013 to honor alumnus and business magnate Drayton McLane, Jr., who provided the lead gift for the stadium construction. Baylor's first game at McLane was played August 31, 2014, with the Bears defeating SMU 450. The stadium has a capacity of 45,140 spectators and is expandable to 55,000. McLane Stadium replaced Floyd Casey Stadium as the home field for the Baylor Bears football program.
