Description
This is a pastel painting I created of a scene I captured coming down from the Chimney Rock trail at Ghost Ranch Retreat Center, near Abiquiu, Northern New Mexico. We had begun our hike in the late afternoon and after reaching Chimney Rock, (which is a bit of scramble at the end), we came down as the Full moon was rising over the mesas and the cliffs! One thing about Summer evenings in Ghost Ranch is that you don't know if you're getting attacked by pterodactyls or mosquitoes! You have to keep on going and don't stop until you reach the trail head, otherwise you'll get eaten by the skeeters. Thanks for looking. FAA watermark WILL NOT show on fine art print.
