Description
I remember waking up still in the dark of night on my last camping night at Lake Pleasant Regional Park, in Peoria, Arizona. According to my GPS it would take me an hour and twenty minutes to reach Lost Dutchman State Park if I wanted to be on time for a sunrise shot, so here it comes again, a race against time. Doing eighty on the freeway I almost ran out of gas five miles before reaching my destination, and I had to find a gas station. Obeying the speed limit, I got gradually more desperate as the light in the sky increased! When I reached the park's visitor center, I found myself facing the self paying station, realizing I had money but not change. It wasn't going to be the first time that I'd be making a donation to a beautiful park anyways! All it took then was to find a perfect vantage point where I could showcase the face of Superstition Mountain and the typical Sonora Desert vegetation: The saguaros, ocotillo, cholla, and palo verde. Thanks for looking. FAA watermark WILL NOT show on fine art print.
