Enjoying a day off on Tuesday March 12th 2013, we took a trip to Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, between the towns of Fredericksburg and Llano. The week before I had found out that the Comet Pan-Starr was going to be flaunting its tail of dirt and ice across the western sky, close to the crescent moon. We arrived half an hour earlier to the top of the rock so I could scout for a great location that would aid in the composition of the photograph...
