Nature decided to tease us last year, 2012, with the Fall colors in Central Texas. They were disappointing due to a combination of high winds and lots of trees going to seed. The 2011 drought hit hard in this area, but trees are recovering.
Lost Maples State Natural Area offers a Fall foliage report that gets updated weekly in October and November, so on the third Monday of November 2013 I made the drive from Houston to this beautiful park to try to capture the rainbow. Enjoy and thank you so much for looking!
