I came across this abandoned shack while chasing bluebonnets in the Dubina/Ammansville area, north of Weimar, Texas. When I have a mission to photograph something I usually stick to the plan, but this was a case of driving past the structure, thinking I might not drive by it anytime soon, and turning around to photograph it! I really like it how the bare trees, (waiting for the Spring Equinox, which had passed already), guard the shack/barn. I also like how the wind shaped the clouds.) If you should know, this image is actually a panorama of 5 portrait-oriented photographs. It was shot with a graduated neutral density filter to tame the skies and equalize the exposure values...I hope you enjoy it, and thanks for looking!
