Description
I came across this wonderful scenic vista while exploring the Abiquiu area of Rio Arriba County in Northern New Mexico. Determined to leave the highway for a county road that followed the Rio Chama, I climbed the side of the mesa to arrive at the highest point overlooking the valley. I trembled in anticipation as I quickly turned my head to see this sprawling landscape. Being able to pull over on the side of the road, I crossed the road guard and stood on the edge of the cliff with my panoramic gear. The clouds were moving fast, and the sun was almost below the mountaintops behind me. I am glad I was able to capture this gorgeous view of the changing Fall cottonwoods. Thanks for looking.
