The ambitious Buffalo Bayou Park is a $58 million project which comprises a network of trails, bridges and green areas that has been likened to Houston's own Central Park. This is panoramic image of the newly built Carruth Bridge, made 40 minutes after sunset. The South end of the bridge (right side) faces the Houston Police Memorial, not seen on the image.
I visited this location twice in one day, during sunrise and sunset. If you see the previous image in my portfolio, it shows a 1:2 panorama of this scene, but with a few differences. Observe the luminosity of the downtown's buildings. 40 minutes after sunset, during twilight, you can capture the light emanating from all the offices' windows, something that can't be achieved around sunset. This is a composite 5-image photograph. I used a graduated neutral density to tame the highlights in the sky, and each exposure was 15 seconds long. Enjoy!
