I cannot believe I had been living in Houston for the past 16 years and never decided to visit the Rice University campus until now, September 2014! As you can see from the image, its notable Byzantine architecture is a delight to the eyes. I also had to take advantage of the first cold front blowing through the region. After a couple of years of observing weather and climatic patterns I now know that when a cold front sweeps through the area, interesting cloud formations can be seen in the sky. Depicted here is the Academic Quad with Lovett Hall at the end. I set up my gear with the panoramic bracket and fired 10 shots in portrait mode to then stitch them together. I'd rather tell you about the process of making this photograph than to tell you about the university itself. If that interests you, you can go to the Free Encyclopedia and look it up! This image would make a perfect graduation or alumni gift. Also, it would be perfect for doorm room wall art. Fine Art America watermark will not show on printed image!
