During my stay at Ghost Ranch near the town of Abiqui, New Mexico, I saw a photograph of a geological wonder called "Plaza Blanca" in the town's general store, and just like that (clicking my fingers) it had an instant hold on me. I knew I had to capture it before leaving for good...
It takes three miles down a dirt county road in the outskirts of town to arrive at this unique arrangement of bone-white cliffs, Plaza Blanca, or "White Square." Georgia O'Keefe fell in love with this place and painted it too!
