All Summer long I wanted to make the drive from Cypress to Galveston to photograph the 61st Street Pier in Galveston from the beach level instead of from the seawall up above, but I just couldn't get myself to wake up so early to drive the hour and fifteen minutes or brave the elements, (90% humidity, 85F at 5:00 AM.) Instead, I decided I'd wait until the first strong cold front, (which I thought would arrive in September, but ended up showing up late, in mid-October.) I wanted to capture the panoramic perspective from underneath the pier and capture the streaking clouds caused by the high winds. This is the result. Thanks for looking.
