Description
I visited Cross of the Martyrs Park on the first night of our stay in Santa Fe. I thought I could kill lots of birds with one stone as the scenic overlook affords views towards all cardinal points; across the city towards the Jemez and Cerrillos Hills, back to the Sangre de Cristo's, and south towards the Sandias, South, and Placer mountains. As I was making my way back to my car, I noticed the spectacular cloud formations and the subtle dying sunlight hitting the Cross of the Martyrs, framed by the Trees and accented by the cobblestones.
