Artist's Description
I had been wanting to photograph this architectural gem for a long time, and the opportunity presented itself on my last trip to San Antonio. I just love the juxtaposition of the Modern and Spanish Revival/Moorish architecture!
The Tobin Center seats north of Downtown, a few blocks away from the hustle and bustle of the Riverwalk, but still withing walking distance.

The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts is San Antonio's performing arts center. It is located next to the San Antonio Riverwalk. It is named for Robert L.B. Tobin, one of the city's most prominent residents.
The 1738 seat venue[1] was first built in 1926 as the San Antonio Municipal Auditorium by Atlee Ayres, and was later renovated and fully expanded by the Seattle-based LMN Architects and the local firm Marmon Mok Architecture in 2014 to its current status.
