This outstanding piece of neoclassical architecture is the Link-Lee Mansion, a historical building in the heart of the Montrose neighborhood, (Museum District), in Houston, that serves as the executive offices of the University of St. Thomas, my Alma Mater. The house was originally built in 1912 by the orders of John Wiley Link, a wealthy lumberman and lawyer that had been the mayor of Orange, Texas. It cost $60,000 to build it and then it was sold to the Lee Family in 1916 for $90,000. Finally, in 1940, it became part of the university at a cost to it of $120,000. Originally it housed the entire school!
My idea with this shot was to capture it with the little remaining light of twilight behind. Looking West standing on Montrose Boulevard, I set up my gear and shot a timed exposure of 30 seconds.
This piece of artwork would make for a great graduation, alumni gift, or dorm room wall decor. FAA watermark will not show on final printed artwork.

In other words, I try to walk the Path of God's Will for me. Going on a...
