Description
I made this image at 3:00 AM deep in the heart of the Davis Mountains, a few minutes from the McDonald Observatory, which sits on Mount Locke at approximately 6800 feet above sea level. It was such an amazing experience to be able to see the Milky Way rising with the naked eye! My senses were heightened and I felt as one with my surroundings. My original plan was to see the galaxy rising at 1:50 AM, but I had forgotten to set the alarm while as I was sleeping at Davis Mountains State Park. Thanks for looking. FAA watermark WILL NOT show on fine art print.
